Jill Leshin, Early Literacy Specialist
Jill Leshin holds a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She is a Certified Reading Specialist and has an Early Childhood Endorsement in the State of Arizona. Her experience includes developing and refining curriculum for Mesa Public Schools, Chicago Public Schools and the private sector. Mrs. Leshin trains teachers in the area of early literacy and is considered to be an expert in her field. Jill is dedicated to teaching children in a way that research shows is most effective for preschool aged children. Her lessons are interactive, fun and always include multi-sensory instruction. Jill Leshin, M. Ed. is the founder of Pre-K Academy, Literacy Links and the CEO of The Traveling Tutor, LLC. She is the head teacher, trainer and supervisor for our Pre-K Academy and Literacy Links programming.
Jill is the proud mother of two vivacious boys. Aside from teaching, she loves spending time with her amazing family, practicing yoga, and volunteering at the neighborhood elementary school.
Leslie Benjamin, M.Ed, Kindergarten Specialist
Leslie Benjamin holds a Masters Degree in Elementary School and has taught Kindergarten for over 16 years. Leslie has had the unique experience of teaching Pre-Kindergarten as well as Kindergarten. Her background includes being a district Kindergarten mentor, developing Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten curriculum in New York and in Arizona. She served on the Language Arts Committee for her school district and has been mentoring teachers in the area of early childhood for over ten years. Leslie believes that first and foremost learning should be fun and engaging for children. She understands the importance of teaching children in a developmentally appropriate way. Alongside Mrs. Leshin, Mrs. Benjamin teaches and supervises our Pre-K Academy and Literacy Links programming.
Leslie is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters. When Leslie is not teaching, she is volunteering at the neighborhood school, reading and spending time with her family.
